The reason for this is that nearly all anti aging skin care products contain petrochemical and chemical ingredients that have health implications and can produce allergies and skin reactions in many people and they can too contain ingredients such as mineral oil which clogs pores and leads to acne.
But there is no definition of what hypoallergenic skin care is or for that matter what non comedogenic is and whether you see skin care products marked as hypoallergenic or non comedogenic they may or may not be.
The reason is that the FDA does not have to examine claims made on the mark of any anti aging skin care products. The cosmetics and anti aging industries are self regulated and no manufacturer is required to justify the claims made on the mark of it’s products.
As you can see there are powerful reasons to see for hypoallergenic skin care products and non comedogenic skin care products but there are too excellent reasons to be extremely suspicious and it’s not likely that products that you see marked like this are in reality either hypoallergenic or non comedogenic. Many such labeled products still contain the same chemical ingredients that you should be avoiding.
